Sounds like you might have "leave messages on server" checked in your mail
client.

If you use Outlook Express then go to Tools, then Accounts, then Mail tab.
Click on your mail account you use to get this mailing list's mail and go to
Properties and to the advanced tab.  If "leave messages on server" is
checked remove it and check for mail again.

If you want to leave messages on the server then use your ISP's webmail or
go to www.mailbreeze.com and check your email to see if its still on the
mail server.
