I have an origional FT-100 with the Yaesu screwdriver. I did do the
grounding mods. on the radioo and it works like a champ with the antenna.
Since they added the stability crystal as standard I hear 2M and 440 works a
whole lot better.  I owned the IC 706 and wouldn't part with my FT-100.  The
FT-100 noise blanker is 10 times better than the 706's and you need a good
one in the mobile.
