[Yaesu] FT-301 narrow cw filter

Hi,
Ok I am getting messages now.  I guess there were no posts since I got
my password.
I am wondering if anyone on the list knows if the XF-90C narrow cw
filter for the FT-301D is plug and play or if the is a jumper to cut or
something?  I installed the filter and really can't tell much difference
in receive but in transmit with the filter in place I get only about 4
or 5 watts out. Any tips will be appreciated.
