[Yaesu] FT-2600M Question

I have had some experience with about 50 FT-2600M's. They are very=20
dependable radio's with no breakdowns and very rough usage. However there=20
is one big flaw, they are much more voltage sensitive than most and will=20
wipe out the user programing at voltages lower than 10 volts, such as=20
vehicle starting. This is not much of a problem is the wiring is adequate=20
and the radio is turned off while starting the vehicle.
The radio is very inexpensive right now.
