I recently imported Collins mechanical filters for my Yaesu FT847 and
FT100D, which were shipped in a large container with other equipment. Sadly
the shipping container was dropped during transit and some of the contents
damaged.

The filters were packaged in their original Yaesu bubble plastic and small
cardboard boxes. The cardboard boxes show no signs of physical damage, but
my concern is for the health of the mechanical filters.

- Are these filters sensitive to physical shock?
- What physical shock levels can they withstand?
- Will physical shock affect their performance?

I will also consult with Collins.

Of course the shipment is insured, but I wish to know for future reference.

Your comment will be appreciated.
