This from one of the Yahoo 7100 groups:

	1. Set the desired freq, CTCSS codes, offset, etc.
	2. Press V/M 1/2-second
	3. Press HOME momentarily

BTW, you can not assign a label to the HOME memory, they are stuck
at VHOME and UHOME.

At first I started going into how to wire such a cable and then
I noticed two things:

	1) The 7100's manual only shows connections for going
between two radios using the PTT line on the DATA jack
	   for passing data.
	2) I opened up my own cable, which I bought from RTS, and
there's a little circuit board with surface mount resistors,
	   diodes, and other "fancy" semiconductors.

Thusly, there's probably some level shifting going on between a PC's
RS-232 and the 7100's PTT input. So, while you might be able to figure
it out, I'm not going to put out any conjecture. Dunno if you'd fry
your RS-232 input or your 7100's if you went straight between the two.

Sorry, but I don't think I can help you too well here. It doesn't
look like it would be that "simple".

That's about right; it doesn't.
