Hi Walt,
I have one of these too (presently sporting a metallic green paint job
and with a Collins mechanical filter replacing what likely was a Murata job).
I got the manual courtesy of the same 24hr hamfest you visited but
the manual does not have a schematic. It does have pin voltage readings
which might be helpful. I'll be happy to burn a copy and send it to you
(PDF or paper).
Mine has some sort of odd mod (besides the green paint!) and seems to
only work on the AM position but is complete. Will be glad to provide whatever
help I can.
I've got the FL100B as well....thankfully it's the original (I think )
black paint!
The older JA rigs are interesting (pre Printed circuit). I've got a set of
Star twins from about the same era that look interesting (when I can get to
'em!).
