No, that's not entirely correct.

I'm a rep here in Chicago for APT (Advanced Power Technologies) out of
Oregon.

APT purchased two companies this last year.  One of them was GHz
Technologies and the other was Microsemi RF.

Microsemi RF purchased stock of "some" Motorola devices, not all of them.
They did not buy mask sets from Motorola.  They ended up designing new die
for a number of the parts that were good sellers.  The rest will go away
when the stock is used up.  Microsemi also purchased some of the
SGS-Thompson (ST) devices as well, but mainly parts for avionics use.

Motorola sold off the rest of their BJT transistor line recently to M/A-Com.
So I believe that the guy that said M/A-Com is now carrying the part is
correct.

Trust me, it's all VERY confusing.  Suffice to say, I am glad someone has
picked up this device!
