No, I believe Motorola stopped making the final transistors for the
FT-1000D. It wasn't Yaesu's doing. Trust me. Motorola is terrible at
doing this. They discontinue parts shortly after they release them!
There's just nothing you can do about it once all the parts at all the
distributors get used up. It's kinda like tubes. And since there's a
"limited" supply, they may be expensive. Someone told me that the final
transistors are still available from the different parts outlets. It may
not be too much of a problem anyhow. If there are several thousand parts
still left at various outlets, it may take several years to eat that up with
repairs, etc. No one is likely using the parts in any volume production
these days.

It is possible that another company is now making the transistors, but I
don't think so.

The FT-1000D is over 10 years old. I doubt it is being produced any more by
Yaesu. I think they did the final production run a couple years ago.
Depending on the demand, they may do another run at some time in the future,
but I doubt it. There's still plenty of stock in the pipeline, but look at
the cost of the rig. The 1000D is now around $4000. You can get a Mark V
for about 2/3 of that.
