Ask Yaesu to do all mods necessary to bring the radio current.  They'll do
all that is needed including upgrading the firmware, etc.

I am concerned about your finals.  That may be expensive!  And it may not be
possible to fix.  If I am not mistaken, I think the final transistors in the
FT1000 may not be made any more.

Hopefully, you'll be able to get it fixed and you won't be stuck with just
your exciter power.  If that's the case, I know of someone who will buy it
off you!
