[Yaesu] General Radio Question

In my shack I have a dual band IC-2350 for 2 and 440. I also have an Alinco
DR-140, Kenwood TM 441, and Kenwood TM 331 for 2, 440 and 220 respectively.
Overkill? Probably, but I like flexibility and I listen around a lot while
monitoring local frequencies. In my van I have an Alinco DR 610 dual band
2\440 and an Icom 706 mk IIg . Same concept so I can listen to all bands. I
guess it all depends on how much you can listen to at the same time and how
much you can receive. I can dependably receive and work about 25 repeaters
from my shack while if I go on vacation in FL. I can only work one repeater
in Panama City Beach. Lots of considerations go into the debate. Another big
thing is that if one band tears up on a multiband radio and you have to send
it off then you have no radio if it's all you own. 73
