<< Hi Guys, and gals.....

As you can tell, I am a newbie to the list... I happen to come into possesion a Yaesu FT-51R. (used of course) and being the
brave (or perhaps foolish) soul I am, I thought I'd take it apart to see if I could fix a problem with the antenna connector
bieng loose, to the point of spinning around and around... anyhow, got 1/2 way through and discovered that was a job left to
someone with a bit more experience than myself.. anyhow... 2 hours, alot of sweat and shaking and a dictionary of swear
words later... I got it back together... But now I got another problem... I cannot get the unit to power up... and I cannot
figure out why! Only real problem I has was, that the little "thingy" that is the latch for the battery, has a spring, and I
had to put it back on... and after I did that, I had to put that assembly back together... and maybe those pins in there
aren't touching where they are supposed to??? I really hate to have to take it apart again, but if I must I will... can
someone give me something to look for? >>

Howdy. I don't have a -51, I have a -50. You sure all of your spring-loaded battery contacts are there? Mine has 3, and if
one is missing, it 'll either not work or won't charge. These should be easy to see, just remove the battery.

Other than that, I don't have a clue. Good luck!
