[Yaesu] HX-340

Not too sure if this is off topic or not, but I'll give it a
shot.

I've come into possession of a pair of HX-340 and I know nothing
about them. Cracking the case, I see some pretty hefty
construction and what appears to be a software programmable
frequency radio. I may have doorstops, I don't know.

Can someone tell me about these beasties? It looks like they are
for 450 MHz.

Thats the total of my knowledge. Anyone know *anything* about
these things?
