a.     The 70 cm (432.1 MHz USB/CW; 446.0 FM Simplex) Event will beheld from 7PM – 11 PM PDT on Wednesday, 09 October 2019

b.     The 33cm & up (902.1SSB; 927.5FM + other higher frequency bands! ) Eventwill be held from 8AM – 2PM PDT on Saturday, 12 October 2019

The SPRINTS are an excellent way to use only 1 band, or portion of the spectrum per dayfor a simple, laid back operating event. It is a great way to practice anddetermine the capabilities of your VHF/UHF station by operating Simplex, without using Repeaters.

Contest exchange is callsigns & 4 digit Grid (6 digitgrid for 33cm & higher!)

Please submit scores to 3830 rumor page as described in the rules; your log is not included in your score submission.

Complete rules and log submission info are at:  http://svhfs.org/wp/2019-fall-sprint-rules/

Distance between stations is a mandatory entry for the 33 cm & up SPRINT. This url instantly provided the needed information:         >>>https://www.chris.org/cgi-bin/finddis<<<

Note: The 6 meter,  2 meter, & 135 cm  SPRINTS were held in previous weeks.

You can be pleasantly surprised by how far you can communicate. From hilltops, N6ZE frequently communicates with stations who are just using a handheld with 'rubber duckie' antenna who are located 30 or 40 miles distant.
