Subject: [VHF] Band condx around the Summer Soltace

Monday June 24th - APRS map shows a small yellow spot over North Central
KS, and a red blob over Southern AR going toward S/E TX gulf coast &
over northern part of LA.

BCNS-
N0LL/b EM09 144.295 maybe  something at noise
N0YK/b DM98 144.288 529 peak
W5HN/b EM13 144.280 559 peak (weakest I've seen it in days)
W5HN/b EM13 432.380 NIL
K5RMG/b EM00 144.295 NIL (usually there)
K5RMG/b EM00 432.345 NIL
WQ0P/b EM19 144.290 NIL
WQ0P/b EM19 432.350 NIL
W7QJQ/b EM25 432.320.5 LOUD @ 26 miles
OKC 432 mhz radar sweeps weak

This is the wettest June, plus floods, and violent tornado WX over a lot
of USA. I suspect that is why poor tropo (unstable WX) & LOW MUFs (due
to unstable WX) have made a poor 144 mhz E Skip season.

As I have said before-The week prior to Summer Soltace and week after
Soltace I've seen 144 mhz  E Skip every year , but not this year (so far).

I'm not seeing the usual SSSP CW contacts with JAs on 50 MHZ, but maybe
this is due to the Digital operating that has taken over.

Also, maybe  the Jet stream moving North, has changing tropo condx?

Just a different season so far.
