Hi, all.

As some posters have already reminded us, the SBMS 2 GHz & Up Contest is the
weekend after next. The Cactus Intertie system management has again
graciously allowed participants to use the repeater system for liaison,
whether you're a Cactus member or not.

N6VI plans to operate at least all Saturday from Frazier Peak with 2, 3, 5
and 10 GHz. I will have a newbie-extra with me: Gary KM6AEQ. I plan to
outfit him with 33 cm and 23 cm gear, since the Central States VHF Society's
Microwave Spring runs concurrently with the first half-day of our 2-and-up
event, and he can try to work whoever is on those bands up through 2:00 PM
on Saturday when the Sprint ends. If anyone has a 10 GHz loaner station
they'd be willing to let Gary use for the weekend, please let me know and
we'll have another contact for you X-banders..

Mel WA6JBD has been so busy with work that I won't ask him to summarize
planned activity as he does so well for the 10 GHz & Up contest, so just
post your plans here and we can make our own lists. In my experience, the
lower bands generally produce signals equal to or better than those on 10
GHz, so get those transverters out. When you tell us your plans, please
include which bands you will have available.

73,

Marty N6VI
