re: eta aquariids.. aquarius rises in the south east sky by 3am for the west coast.
by dawn its almost due south when the best conditions for meteor scatter can be
expected, for a couple of hours at least. north/south paths favored but anything's
possible. with so much e-skip happening lately, here's a chance to use msk144. 

peaks tomorrow, sunday may 6th and monday may 7th.

The Eta Aquariids are a strong shower when viewed from the southern tropics. 
>From the equator northward, they usually only produce medium rates of 10-30 
per hour just before dawn. From the equator to 25S they can produce rates of
40-60 per hour just before dawn at maximum. The longer nights in the southern
hemisphere allows the radiant to rise higher in their sky. South of 25S the
radiant altitude actually decreases.

Activity is good for a week centered the night of maximum activity. These are
swift meteors that produce a high percentage of persistent trains..

Peak May 6 and 7 with best conditions for meteor scatter at dawn both days.

Radiant: 22:32 -1� ZHR: 55 - Velocity: 42 miles/sec - Parent Object: 1P/Halley
