Gentlemen,
Just back and have been informed by my physician that no lift or contortions
are allowed for the next couple of weeks.  I believe it, the operation took
6 hours and I spent 6 days in the hospital.  Currently I have superb array
of plumbing and fixtures dangling fore and aft and have a hell of a time
sitting (only on the edge of chairs as I can't lean back.)
So, if there's a hero out there, you get a double gold star for running the
net tomorrow and probably the following Thursday as well.

Gentlemen,

I'll not be able to conduct the Thursday 432 net this week (and, perhaps the
next).  My youthful indiscretions have caught up with me and the years of
running up and down the Afridi foothills and the West side of Koh-I Safi
have provided me with a fascinatingly painful kidney stone.  You see, you
don't just turn the tap and drink the water.  There was neither tap, nor, in
most instances, running water.  A period now over, the memories continue.

Therefore, I'll be reclining at a Kaiser facility following the blasting out
of a golfball sized kidney stone.  I'm told it will obviate the requirement
that I urinate out this monster, a relief I can only extoll having
previously eliminated smaller such deposits and having had to go to the ER
for relief from the excruciating pain.

So there you have it.

No 70cm net this Thursday evening.  Since not all participants in this net
receive these e-mails, if you know someone who would otherwise be standing
by, please give them the news.  Similarly, if you wish to conduct the net,
feel free to do so.
