I met Chuck back in the early 90s and he was a great help in my learning the intimate details of 144 MHz Propagation, antennas, amplifiers and gaining a better understanding of EME.

Few have influenced Weak Signal VHF as much as he has.
I miss you Chuck...

My condolences to his Wife and family...

I was just informed today by John Molloy (W7BBM & W7JM) that Chuck Smallhouse, W7CS, passed away last night due to complications with leukemia & pneumonia.  Our condolences go to his XYL, Nancy, & his entire family.

 That is very sad news.
As well as his pioneering work on EME, mostly as WA6MGZ, he was a driving force in the AZ microwave community. He was always a reliable signal on 10Gigs, and inspired many of us to improve our portable rigs.
He also did a lot to encourage V/UHF activity in the area.

 He will be much missed.
