Hi, all.

 

I have mid-day non-contest commitments on both Saturday and Sunday of this
coming weekend, but I plan to work in some roving with ten bands (6m through
10 GHz).

 

Saturday at the beginning of the contest I aim to be operational for a short
time from DM14 and then DM04, both east of Lancaster in the Antelope Valley.
Later that afternoon, I plan to head up to Mojave / Bissell to activate DM05
and DM15.  Clara (KJ6CNO) will be with me on all these Saturday stops, so we
can provide up to 80 total contacts to those we can reach.

 

On Sunday I will be solo, heading down to Encinitas, north of San Diego, for
a mid-day meeting.  Before - or more likely after - that meeting, I will
find a spot to activate DM12 - possibly Del Mar Heights.  As I head back
north toward home, time permitting, I'll stop in DM13 and / or DM03 along
the way.

 

For coordination, I'll have CACTUS on (for those who are members; the system
is NOT open to all contesters this weekend) and will call occasionally on
the PAPA and DARN systems as well as the Southern Calif. DX Club machine.
Some of the regular SCCC rovers already have my cellular number.  If you
expect to be within striking distance of my planned stops and need my
cellular number, e-mail me with the request.

 

Remember to draw in the non-contesters with a few short calls on those
repeaters that will allow such calls, and please do so only infrequently as
a courtesy to the regular users.
