Today the ARRL filed its comments in opposition to RM-11715, the 10 GHz
commercial broadband proposal by Mimosa networks. The League objected on
both technical and regulatory grounds. The former was bolstered by comments
I received from many of you and passed on to our Executive Committee.
Thanks for taking the time to review and respond, whether to me, the FCC or
both. The latter objection was based on incompatibility of the proposal
with current ITU allocations for Region 2 (North and South America).
You all were of great help in dealing what we hope will be a fatal blow to
this ill-advised petition. To ready the ARRL's comments , you can go to
http://apps.fcc.gov/ecfs/proceeding/view?name=RM-11715. If you have trouble
with that and want me to e-mail you a PDF of the comment letter, just e-mail
me a request. If you follow the above link, you'll also see comments from
some familiar names (minus the callsigns). Way to go, guys!
Thanks again and 73,
Marty
