Anyone other than me remember back to the early 1960's when the late
Marie Simon, K2YEA, in Far Rockaway, NY, worked a JA station
(possibly JA1RNZ -- not sure) on 50.200 or so. He on a frigate just
off the coast of Japan.
The good part: I recorded the contact audio on my then almost new
Wollensak T-1500 tape recorder.
The better part was surprising Marie and her husband Lennie K2RMA
with the tape.
My mistake: Not making a copy of the tape.
But I was younger then and less wise. A lot younger and much less wise.
