Thanks Mike for your comments, I hope it works out. I had
a request from Allen W6IST as some guys only have FM
capability.

Not that I'm ready to checkin to your 1296 net from N. Cal yet, but I
like the idea of trying FM simplex once in awhile on the VHF/UHF bands.
 
I remember years ago working Mark, KE6JDS in Orland (100 miles north of
me) one night on ssb on 1296.  Sigs were only so-so, and Mark said let's
try FM.  Much to my surprise, the FM copy was much better and less
fatiguing than the  weak ssb sigs.
 
Great idea to add an FM simplex component to the net!

Hi Gang, The 1296.100 Friday net. NEW!!! For some on FM we will look on
1294.500FM at 8:35. We look to northern CA before 8:00 and at 8:00 to
8:15 for gen. ck. ins. 8:15 to 8:20 to the east, and 8:20 to 8:25 south,
and again for local check ins to 8:30 and again to the north before
