That's right!  70cm (with or twithout a beacon lives on Thursday evenings and tomorrow (or tonight, depending when you read this) shall be no exception.  Located high atop a mud hill overlooking almost the entirity of coastal Southern California from San Diego to Los Osos and Catalina Island to God only knows where, it's the portable 70 cm station and WO1S yelling CQ and Standing By.
Festivities begin about 7:00pm local (maybe a taste before) and end around 8:00pm local (or shortly thereafter).  So if you're bored, have a loose PTT finger or just simply don't give a rat's ... listen in on 432.120 Mc, USB.  Who knows, maybe the bug will get you and you'll involuntarily give a shout yourself.
