[Wswss] TM 241 Mods

Need some expert advice on  the Kenwood  TM241 440 mobile rig. I wants to
extend the transmit DOWN to 430 Mhz.

I plan to use this as a beacon on 432.300

The original beacon I got from N6xq has died and this seem to be a effective
way to go. At lease till I create a new multiplier chain for the old one.

I keep reading that there is a green wire that can be cut on the control
board

But I see two  results: One it will move the freq down the other says  the
coverage will  change to 137 to 174!

Why would a TX mod result in making it a 2m tx and still a 70cm RX

I need some input!!!!
