Hi, Peter. It's DM91RL. Here's how I got it:

On QRZ.COM, search on the ZP code, click on any ham in that location, then on the "Details" tab. When the map comes up, click "Explore on grid map" (small blue print below the map). After the sub-grid will appears, click on a few surrounding spaces until you have a mini-grid map of the area.

Now go to Google maps, enter the address, and zoom out until the scale is comparable to that on the QRZ map. Note the target address position relative to major landmarks (highway intersection, shoreline of a lake, etc.) and find the comparable location on the QRZ map, which you have already marked off into six-character grid locators.

73,

Marty N6VI

Subject: [Wswss] Street Address To 6 Digit Grid Locator Conversion url??

I am looking for an EASY conversion from street address to 6 digit grid locator.

Specifically, I am looking to easily obtain the 6 digit locator for: 129 Bagpipe, San Angelo, TX, 76901.

(I made a 70 cm Tropo QSO from Homestead, FL (EL95rm) to 129 Bagpipe, San Angelo, TX, 76901 in DM91__ during April 1988.

  Thanks

  bt73Pete, N6ZE/K1FJM
