Hello!

Jim W7OUU has very generously offered to drive the 3.5 hours over to southeast Oregon
this coming Saturday, July 30. His station will be 150w and a 4 element yagi. He is
planning to operate FSK441 (transmitting first sequence) on 50.245, starting around
1430Z. He asks that all callers use shorthand tones. He says he will probably stay
as long as there are callers on meteors or Es. He expects to be out of cell phone
range, so will probably not have internet for coordination.

His tentative plans are to set up on Oregon Route 78 (Steens Highway) on the line
between DN02xv and DN12av. In such a case he will be sending DN0212 as his locator.
However, he may also try to set up about 10 miles north off Iron Mountain Road at the
confluence of DN03xa/DN13aa/DN02xx/DN12ax. In that case, he would be sending DN0213.

There also is another very accessible (but somewhat less busy) spot under
consideration, and that is on Whitehorse Road (west of Route 95) on the line between
DN02xk/DN12ak. He would be sending DN0212 from that location.

MNI TNX to Jim and GL to all who are still interested in working those grids!
