I agree with Chris about using 1/2" Heliax.

Only the connectors are more expensive - I get mine on E-Pay.   The 
9913 connectors for 9913 work fine with LMR-400.  If you go with 9913 
remember to really waterproof the connectors with "Coax Seal" or 
Butyl Rubber and good grade vinyl tape (I use the Andrews Kits Part # 
221213).  Even "N" connectors leak under long term humid conditions.
