Hi, all.
Just a reminder that, before you upload your logs, you'll need to be sure that any location(s) you define include the grid locator. Otherwise an LoTW match would be unusable for VUCC credit by the hams on the other ends of your uploaded contacts. If you have done any roving, you'll want to create an additional location for each stop for which you are submitting logs to the system. I use full six-character locators for these to help document distances for microwave contacts. You can also use the more detailed locators to define eligible contacts for your 2.3 GHz and up awards.
Also, if you're like me and keep a lot of hand logs, you'll really appreciate the great conversion tool on the LoTW Web site. It's called BasicLog and, despite the name, it's actually Excel spreadsheet-based. Just input the first contact, then enter only changed or variable data, and pages of entries are etched in silicon in nothing flat. Follow the instructions, and soon you have ADIF files ready to be signed and uploaded. I have converted and uploaded a couple of years worth already, and I'm working my way back. I have built ADIFs (and Cabrillo files, too, for that matter) from scratch using Notepad, and BasicLog is immensely easier and faster.
Although my experience is limited to date, I'll be glad to answer whatever questions I can.

Marty
