Hi Greg,

Sorry I have not got back to you sooner but I have been taking
a survey for you from the LA and northern CA group.

  1. Yes they would also like to see a 222Mhz and 432Mhz beacon again.
  2. Carrier should be not much more then 5sec.
  3. ID with call and grid square sent once.
  4. Horizontally polarized pointed up north.

This format is much like the Hawaii beacon and most all the beacons on
10mtrs, 6mtrs, 2mtrs, 222, 432 and 1296 except 10Ghz.

If you would like to discuss this further give me a call on
the land line at 714/828-1622!

Thanks again for all your hard work,

73 Ralph K6TSK

I will pass along your comments to Rod-
The antenna is a non-directional VERTICAL stick. I thought that would be
the best so that the guys in SD, as well as the LA basin, could use it.
But, at the expense of the SD group, I will probably go back to a 4-5
element yagi looking north. The yagi will be horizontally polarized.
Please pass along my reasoning for the use of the non-directional, and
the fact that I will be going back to a yagi within a week or two.
Do you know if anyone was using the 222 and 432 beacon?
