Gentlemen:
Awile back, I had some questions about the Honda Eu Series generators, of which
I had one that turned out to need carburettor
cleaning, and a new draw cord. Now, especially at a typical 90 outside
temp, a gentle single tug on the cord, starts it right up. Thanks
everyone who responded with helpful, accurate information. Now, I
am looking for the connector for the 12 VDC output. I want to fabricate a
custom cord, but need the plug that fits the socket in the generator panel, a 2
pin, with blade conductors resembling (roughly) in form an old Cinch
Jones connector.
The two blades, are approx 3/16" wide, and set perpendicular
to each other. Does anyone know a generic part number or generic
connector that might carried by an industrial electric supplier for this, or
perhaps Home Depot, for both male and female. The local honda
dealer/service shop had very long lead times for Parts so I need to find a
male/female pair, quicker than their turnaround time.
The other discovery was an unloaded measurement at the 12 volt output port
showed about 18 volts. Does anyone know if the circuit is supposed
to be a regulated circuit for 12 volt output?
And, a last question, anyone going to Burning Man?
Tnx
