Team,
FYI K6XN will be operating again in the ARRL June VHF QSO Party 1800 UTC
June 12 to 0300 UTC June 14 as a SOLP from CM99 at 5000 feet in the Sierras
and the Sacramento Valley ARRL Section. I will be on the following bands and
modes during the contest:
50 MHZ SSB/CW 11 ELEMENT M2 AND 5 ELEMENT M2 YAGIS, 100
WATTS
144 MHZ SSB/CW/FM 17 ELEMENT AND 28 ELEMENT YAGIS, 100 WATTS
220 MHz SSB/CW/FM 23 ELEMENT M2 AND 11 ELEMENT YAGIS, 100 WATTS
430 MHZ SSB/CW/FM 28 ELEMENT M2 AND 11 ELEMENT YAGIS, 100 WATTS
930 MHZ FM 17 ELEMENT M2 YAGI AND 9DB GAIN
VERTICAL, 10 WATTS
1296 MHZ SSB/CW/FM 88 ELEMENT M2 PHASED YAGI ARRAY AND A 22 ELEMENT
M2 YAGI, 10 WATTS
I will be using mainly batteries and solar power again this year as I will
be in a wilderness area without commercial power. See you in the pileups and
I hope I will be a multiplier or two for you from CM99 this year! I will
be packing the Jeep and leaving my Saratoga QTH and heading up to the cabin
this Friday morning and I should be at the cabin and periodically monitoring
the calling frequencies beginning sometime Friday after about 2:00 PM PDST
and until the contest starts Saturday morning before the contest as I check
out equipment and make tests. If you need CM99 for a new grid square please
just give me a call on a calling frequency or send me an e-mail before about
0900 Friday morning and I will try to make a sched for you before the
contest. If needed I can QRO to a KW +/- on either 6M or 2M but I usually
run only low power as I have no commercial power up at my summer cabin in
the Sierras and I am usually relying on batteries, solar power and a small
generator. I will not Internet access from the cabin this weekend. GL and
73, Ted, K6XN
