[Wswss] Arecibo on 70cm EME April 16.17,18

Folks:

 

I have confirmed Arecibo on board for Echoes of Apollo Moon Bounce, April 16,17,18.

They have 58 dbi of available 70cm gain from their spherical dish, but have limited steering of the beam, able to go +- 20 degrees from vertical (zenith) angle.  That still allows about 2 hour windows to most places in the US, (Essentially all of North America, South America, Central Europe, and West Africa, on those days. 

With  1.5 KW at the Arecibo feed, (their exciter, "barefoot" for the megawatt 70 cm PA) it wil be easy to hear them.  

I  would encourage all to join in.  And to encourage young folks, as shack visitors to share the experience.
