Laddy, I'm Al's wife, Bev and would like to bring you up-to-date on Al.  (I recognize your name from years worth of listening and observing Al on the radio).   He had a routine colonoscopy in October and they found a large polyp (about an inch in size); too big to remove during the procedure so he was scheduled for surgery to remove it.  Anyway, last Monday, Dec. 13th, he had his surgery (laproscopy) and has been in the hospital ever since.  He would have been discharged earlier, but has been dehydrated, had low blood pressure, and other things getting in the way so the doctors say, "a few more days".  I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a discharge at least before Christmas.  The nurse says he'll leave by then.  In the meantime, I'm bringing him his favorite foods; anything to help him eat more.  Plus, he's watching "2 1/2 Men", our new favorite show, to keep his spirits up.  He's under good care from his doctors, so I'm encouraged by their attention.

I'm monitoring the e-mail each evening, so will keep tabs on comments and e-mails and will pass these on to Al the next day.  He really appreciates hearing from his buddies.  Thanks!

  I have been listening for you and not heard anything for a couple of weeks now , as you know I check in to the Tucson SWOT net at 15:30  to 16:00 UTC .I listen for you from 16:00 to 16:15 UTC then I have a sced with Serge KT6KT from 16:15 to 16:30 made my first contact with him today Sun 12/19/10 from DM43, you might want to listen for him he will be pointed towards you at that time.
  Then at 16:30 to 17:00 I point to CA for my guys . At 17:00 UTC I have a sced into MI on 20m .
 So I have a busy sced on Sunday mornings so I apologize for not giving you more time but it will either work or not. I don't know if we have not been able to work because of the time change or conditions but I will keep listening for you. Let me know what is happening .  CUL  "Laddy"
