Teams,
Next weekend is the 2010 ARRL August UHF contest which begins 1800 UTC
Saturday and ends 1800 UTC Sunday.
I hope to be able to provide a multiplier from CM99oh again on several bands
during the contest. I will be operating on the 222 MHz, 430 MHz, 927.5 MHz
and 1296 MHz bands running low power but with great antennas from a 5000
foot elevation. I will be running on solar power and batteries and I am
still only running 8 to 10 watts on 927.5 MHz FM and 1296 MHz SSB, CW and FM
but I have improved the antennas and I am finally using 7/8 Heliax feedlines
so you might actually hear me :-). I will be running up to approximately
100W +/- though on 222 MHz and 430 MHz, SSB, CW and FM. I have learned
that during this contest from my CM99 location I can usually (but not
always) work anyone I can hear with only 10 watts or so but its nice to be
able to QRO up to 100W on 222 MHz and 430 MHz if needed :-) See you
in the pileups next weekend! GL and 73, Ted, K6XN
