[Wswss] What Current GPSs Have Grid Output Available? (REPRISE!)

Hello All:


I communicated with Garmin's Product Support People within the past week and this is what they say:

"Actually all Garman outdoor mapping handheld units will display in Maidenhead position format."

"Only the Garmin Nuvi 500 and 550 will allow for input of Maidenhead Locator data."

I have looked through on-line manuals for a number of their current units and do NOT find any references to Maidenhead Grid Locators.
Has anyone on these reflectors been using the Nuvi 500, Nuvi 550, or current outdoor mapping handhelds and had any success in using Maidenhead Grid Locators?
