[Wswss] CM86 Operation on 23CM

Hello and good morning to all,

I wanted to let all interested 23CM operators know that Tom K6EU intends to be operating 1296 from CM86. The details are as follows:

Date    3/24/2009
Time    6:30 - 7:30+ pm PDST
Freq    1296.100
QTH    CM86 / U.C. Santa Cruz campus

Tom will be running 50 - 100W and should have very good ears as the transceiver was built and is being supplied by W6PQL / Jim. The antenna will be a 47 long boom yagi from my test bench set-up.

I have not confirmed that Tom will have a CW key with him but believe he will as he is a very good CW operator. Should conditions warrant it, he will call CQ for 30 second periods always on the first 30 second sequence.

As active 23CM operators know, CM86 is a very rare grid on this band. Hope you all take the opportunity to listen for and work Tom on the 24th.
