Hello Guys,

 

I just found and joined the group on recommendation of my good friend, Dave, W6TE, who got me interested in EME.  I am in Auburn.   

 

I am the founder of, and working on a program, called Echoes of Apollo,  involving large scale EME, with big dishes worldwide to do (Primarily) 23cm EME with the Australian Big Dishes, as part of the Australian Apollo 11 40th Anniversary celebrations.  Have about 6 big dishes (and growing) involved, world wide.  Prime time for the Event is Friday, June 26, 19:00 West coast time.  

(Yes.... Field Day weekend, eve.) 

Chosen to coincide with Australian Celebrations, and Moon Windows between Australia and West coast. Other EME times are being scheduled.

If you know of any EME dishes in California, Large or small, that may want to participate, let me know.   The big dishes in Australia, may allow 4 meter dishes to do 2 x SSB EME QSOs.   If you saw the Fictional movie, "The Dish"  and want a scientific historical paper of what REALLY happened wrt communications with Apollo 11, read the Parkes Paper below.

BTW I really enjoyed the dish, it delivered a "Flavor" of what happened..

 

Also I am looking to ride share to the M2 Fresno BBQ/Hamfest.  I can meet up in, around Sacremento, with anyone coming through or leaving from Sacramento area.

If you want a place to stay overnight,  I can arrange that in Fresno.
