Field Day this year starts at 1800 UTC Saturday June 27 and ends at 2100 UTC
Sunday June 28. We plan to operate from the ARRL SV section and grid square
CM99 in the Sierras again this year at 5000 feet from 11:00 am local time
Saturday morning until 11:00 am Sunday morning using our N7PR club call. We
intend to be on all the bands from 1.8MHz through 1296MHz except for the
WARC bands. We will be running approximately 500W on 160M through 10M, 100W
on 6M through 440 MHz (we can QRO to 1KW for short contacts if needed on 6M
and 2M) and 10 watts on 927.500 MHz and 1296.100 MHz for as long as our
batteries, solar cells and Honda EU2000i generator hold out during Field Day
(We love our Honda EU2000i generator). We will be running class 2E again
this year. Operators will include W6NW, N6KZW, K6YN and K6XN. We will be
operating primarily SSB and CW on all bands except for 927.500 MHz and
927.600 MHz which will be FM only. We will make a special effort to work new
ham radio operators, guests at Field Day sites and QRP stations. Have fun
and see you in the pileups!!! 73, Ted, K6XN
