Comments:

I had a lot of fun this weekend and learned a lot. My biggest disappointment
this weekend was that there was very little activity here on the 903 MHz
band and the only contest station on 927.500 MHz I could hear was K6EU/R and
Tom couldn't hear me! My 10 watts and vertical antenna at a height of 15
feet on 927.500 MHz just didn't have the rock crushing signal strength I had
hoped for :-). The good news is that this weekend has motivated me to
finally significantly improve my antennas for VHF and UHF here at my CM87
Saratoga QTH. The modest vertical antennas I used this weekend on 903 MHz
and 1296 MHz will soon be supplemented with rotatable M2 yagis and as soon
as I get my 4 element SteppIr up with the 6M option I will upgrade from a 3
el 6M yagi here at 20 feet to an effective 6 el 6M yagi at 63 feet. I sure
miss the big VHF and UHF antenna arrays and 5000 foot elevation I enjoy up
at my CM99 Sierra summer QTH but I am currently snowed out of my CM99 QTH so
I decided to give this a try from here in CM87. Thanks to all in the contest
for a fun weekend. 73, Ted, K6XN
