Hello to all. We hope the new year brings you great DX and Happy Grid
chasing.
A reminder of another group here in the California Area. Come check them
out...
I quote:
When Joe and I started our Net in March of 2007, we wanted to make sure that
we didn't hold it on a SWOT night...
http://www.swotrc.net/Nets.aspx
...As such, The 25-25 Net is always held on Wednesday nights, at 8:00PM
local time, on a frequency of 144.230 MHz, USB.
The Net that we hope you can tell your members about, is this-coming
Wednesday night - 1-7-09. It (like all others) will take place on
Wednesday, at 8:00PM local time, on 144.230 MHz USB.
We will serve three regions with 25-25 WIDE:
- First Group Checked-in:
Region: SF Bay Area
NetControl: John (KI6BEN) and Joe (WB6TFD)
Polarization: Vertically-polarized, but Joe can usually pickup SFBA
horizontally-polarized stations
- Second Group Checked-in:
Region: SF Bay Area, Peninsula and South Bay
NetControl: Sawson (KG6NUB) from W6YX Contest Station
Polarization: Horizontally-polarized, sweeping region
- Third Group Checked-in:
Region: Central Valley and Sierra Nevada Range
NetControl: Chris (N6WM) from K6LRG Contest Station
Polarization: Horizontally-polarized, sweeping region
We encourage your members to check-in with whichever NetControl they are
able to work. We will spend the entire Net duration (from 8:00PM to 9:00PM)
just taking check-ins from the three regions. After all check-ins are
complete, we will close the Net and encourage all stations to stay
on-frequency for ragchew using standard Amateur practice.
Thanks for your help, Larry, John.
Happy New Year, God Bless and 73s ;-)
