Rod, thanks for being there and sharing your time. Sounds like a busy 2008
with fire fighting suppression. Being in a good place to capture two meter
signals can be a bear. again best regards and see you on the bands. 73 Larry

Subject: [Wswss] Tuesday Night San Diego 144.230 Weak Signal Net - end of
myhosting

I have been hosting the San Diego Tuesday Night SSB Weak Signal Net on
144.230 for well over a year

Over that time, check-ins have diminished to the point where it is no longer
a viable Net

I had ambitious plans for an improved antenna and increased output power,
but after the 2007 Wildfires (flames to 30ft of my house), I was forced to
spend most of 2008 in wildfire suppression activities

So, my catchment area on 2m was not as great as I had hoped

Next Tuesday, 17 February, will be the last night I host this Net

I have greatly enjoyed my time running this Net, and would like to thank the
110 folks who checked-in over time, those who provided relays, and those who
acted as alternate Net hosts

If someone else wishes to take on the responsibility, I will be happy to
email the Excel file of check-ins

I will continue to co-host the Sunday night 75m Net with Ralph, K6TSK
(currently 4:30pm start-time, 3925kHZ +- QRM, runs to 5pm minimum)

This Net has a multi-state catchment area, and continues to attract
significant check-ins
