make some noise on the loop when you climb the incline on hwy 97 north of Collier state park. Ive worked portland there with a loop and a 706. its when the tree open up. I suppose it could be a bounce of diamond peak.> To: pnwvhfs at googlegroups.com; Wswss at mailman.qth.net> Subject: [PNWVHFS] Fw: [PNWVHFS] Another Trip to K. Temps are supposed to be getting down to 29 in K. Falls, which means it would be about 6 degrees colder on the hilltop. There is no way I am going to be at 6000' after sundown operating a radio in those conditions, then tearing down in the dark and spending another hour and a half getting off of the hill and back to the hotel. Sorry to all those who were looking to work CN92, but no way! You will have to wait for summer, or for some Rover to come thru here. 73's.> > Bruce, KI7JA> ------Original Message------> From: Home Bruce Junkin> To: PNWVHFS PNWVHFS> To: WSWSS> Subject: [PNWVHFS] Another Trip to K. I will be heading down Sunday evening, probably won't get up on any hilltop Sunday night, but maybe Monday or Tuesday. I will only be there through Tuesday, maybe heading back Wednesday sometime. The temps are colder than before and there is the possibility of snow, so don't know how long I will be up on the hilltop. I will be on Applegate Butte this time, which is North of K. Falls about 20 miles in CN92dq, and at about 6000' or so. I still have the same set up with a 7 el M2 on 2m and 160w, and a 3 ele yagi and 90w on 6m (I may try a Moxon beamif the 3 el home brew doesn't work). I should have phone service there, so you can email me at ki7ja at vzw.blackberry.net <mailto:ki7ja at vzw.blackberry.net> , or ki7ja at msn.com <mailto:ki7ja at msn.com> or call 503-753-3578, but if I am on the air with someone, I won't answer the phone. I have mounted my KB6KQ 2M loop on my truck so, I'll be horizontally polarized on the way down (and back). 73's. > > > Bruce, KI7JA > > > Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry> --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~> ~The Voice of the Pacific NorthWest VHF Society~> You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "PNWVHFS" group.> To post to this group, send email to PNWVHFS at googlegroups.com> To unsubscribe from this group, send email to PNWVHFS-unsubscribe at googlegroups.com> For more options, visit this group at http://groups.google.com/group/PNWVHFS> -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~--->
