Tom I still use two Yaesu FT-726 radios that have a few
mods to make them work quite well, but my  favorite radio is 
the FT-847. Good noise blanker and DSP, puts out enough power
to drive all my tube amps. Only real annoying thing
is the FAN. Seem a cronic problem 80% or more folks have.
