[Wswss] THANKS FOR HELP RE 903 ANTENNA RECOMMENDATIONS

All, thanks for your helpful information. FYI, I ordered a Comet KP-20
Omnidirectional antenna today for my initial antenna. It is good for 900-928
MHz, is omnidirectional, it weighs 2 lb 8 oz, has a length of 96 inches and
provides 9.2 dBi gain. This will work OK as an initial antenna and I will
put up a rotational higher gain antenna later. Thanks again for all your

PS I intend to be on the air for the January ARRL VHF contest from my
Saratoga QTH in CM87 on six bands and if I can hear you I will use best
efforts to work you. My CM87 QTH is not as good on VHF/UHF as my CM99 QTH in
the Sierras at 5000 feet elevation but I am snowed out of my wilderness
Sierra QTH right now so I will give it a good try from 500 feet here in
Saratoga CM87 next month.
