[Wswss] Tuesday evening 1296 and 902 activities

w6izu	CM98	Ken	Diamond Springs
w6qiw	DM04	Steve	Santa Barbara

Lots of local backscatter, with signals from the Southern hills (> 25
miles away) echoing just as strong as direct headings. DM03/04 were about
average, though Steve was s5 on ssb at one point, but with lots of rapid
flutter. Local weather was clear and warm (70's).

By the way, is N6XQ/b on the air? I heard it in there yesterday, but
nothing all day today ???

On 902, there was W6IZU, WA6QAK, W6QIW and myself. Steve and I were able
to enjoy what may be the return of spring/summer conditions on this band,
as signals were averaging s3 for more than 15 minutes, with peaks at s6.
Signals into CM98 were also good.
