Hello,
Just a quick reminder that the San Diego Digital VHF net will NOT be in
session tomorrow (Thursday) evening at 8:00 p.m. on 50.291 mhz. PSK31. Our
monthly club meeting will take place and our program will be on PropNET.
Net will resume on September 21st.
If your aren't familiar, PropNET uses APRS technology. Simply tune to your
favorite band's PropNET frequency and wait for your computer-displayed map
to fill with participants, as propagation allows of course. This is an
ad-hoc Amateur Radio network of participants that transmit regularly and
periodically as they probe the ether for anomalous propagation. You also may
leave your station PropNET-active to give others a signal to plot!
Mr. Ed Sack, W3NRG, a regular participant on the SDDVHF net, will be
presenting a 30 minute program on PropNET. Everyone is invited. For more
information, go to this website, www.wa6bgs.org.
73,
Ed, AI6O
