Did not go as well as I had expected it would. However, did make a few 
contacts on 222.
Worked KR7O, W6IZU, K6QXY, WA6QAK, W6PQL, K7XC, and WA6KLK.
I did not have cell service at the parking lot and lost my repeater liaison 
not too long after
I got there. This made things difficult for any JT65 contacts. Sorry, did 
not try 2M, no
one requested that, so did not bother. A special thanks to WA6QAK, KR7O, and 
K7XC
for trying to help co-ordinate things.
A mountain pass is a gap thru the mountains, so altho I was at 8500'. I had 
much higher
mts especially to the S. I could not work Len, WA6KLK, on a direct path. I 
got him on a
bounce I think, probably Mt Diablo? Never did hear Jim, AF6O in DM14.

was not near as strong as I thought he would be.
Absolutely great weather up there, T shirt in the sun. Great views, saw snow 
on the mts,
beautiful Fall color. Had a nice picnic lunch. Took some pics. A great day 
in all.
