These stations were heard and logged on 1296 here in Northern Cal:
WA6KLK - CM89, Willits
K6QXY - CM88, Santa Rosa
AD6FP - CM87, Palo Alto
WA6UAP - CM97, San Jose
KD6IRE - CM97, San Jose
NA6XX - CM97, San Jose
K6HCP - CM97, Gilroy
K6MGM - CM97, San Jose
W6GDM - CM97, Livermore
W6QIW - DM04, Santa Barbara
KC6SEH - CM88, Broderick
WA6QAK - CM98, Pollack Pines
KA6VQV - CM98, Carmichael
W6IZU - CM98, Diamond Springs
WA6ZKY - CM88, Placerville
K6NC - CM88, Wilton
Local 1296 conditions were 'enhanced', with many signals several s-units
above normal. I was hearing WA6KLK (Willits) better to the South on
backscatter than on direct heading by 10db; and there were several up here
in the Bay Area hearing the KH6HME beacon on 1296.250. Not me, though, as
I continue to hold the world's record for never hearing it on any band,
even 2m.
Ralph was out of town tonight, but on the path to Steve in DM04 we had
poor signals; I think the inversion was hindering us there, and I haven't
heard N6XQ in a couple of days, is it still on?
On 902 there was WA6QAK, W6IZU, KC6ZWT, WA6ZKY, W6QIW K6IBY and myself.
Conditions were average Monday evening, and awful tonight, as Steve and I
had only brief exchanges instead of the solid 5-minute openings we
ususally get.
73, Jim
