To: WSWSS, and fellow VHFers Via Ralph Bergman, K6TSK

It might be well to reflect on the many accomplishments of Hank Meyer,
W6GGV.
Organizations like the 2 Meter and Down Club of Southern California, The
W6GD Society (of Northern California), The West Coast VHF Conference, the
San Bernadino
Micowave Society, the West Coast Weak Signal Society, and others all
benefited from Hank's many interests in the VHF, UHF and Microwave radio
world. His many contributions to QST Magazine and other ham radio
magazines is well known.

As for myself, my favorite reminiscense was to read Hank's radio articles
about 10 years after they were published. That was about where I was on
his scale of achievements. What Hank understood and envisoned was way
before his time, and lesser achieved persons as myself finally understood
what he was trying to convey in his articles many years earlier. Such
gifts of Hank Meyer are not completely achieved by the well educated, and
rarely by the hobbiest.

This man of many achievements was not treatred kndly by nature and we all
will miss his presence among us and his historical works and publications
well into the future.
How many of us will be so remembered?

With great respect and condolence,

G.A. "Al" Olcott, K7ICW
